Land

Land

A tract is 160 acres in the High Lonesome Range. The first release is the Headwaters of the Marrow. You choose Desert, High Country, Prairie, or Wetlands. Buying opens with that land drop. The market shows 15 unsold tracts at a time.

The four grounds

Each type has one ideal Grazing Index. Cattle GI runs from 1 to 800. The closer a herd sits to the ideal, the less grass each head uses.

  • Desert, ideal GI 160.
  • Prairie, ideal GI 360.
  • Wetlands, ideal GI 560.
  • High Country, ideal GI 720.

A miss of 200 points doubles the AUM a head consumes. Past 200 points it does not get worse. Read AUMs.

The price

The asking price starts at 3,000 TOUGH for the grazing ground. Standing timber adds 11 TOUGH per 1,000 board feet. Surface water adds 14,000 TOUGH. The total is rounded to the nearest 100. A well is not included in that price. You drill a well later, for 12,000 TOUGH, and it does not grant the surface-water bonus.

Gold, oil, and the rare diamond stay hidden until the tract is yours. The listing does not name them.
