Sale Yard

The Sale Yard is where players list cattle for other players. The buyer pays TOUGH to the seller. This is the place to buy your first cow if you are spending the TOUGH from a free start, and the place to sell a bull or a steer you do not want to feed.

What can be listed

Ordinary cattle can be listed when they are not calves, not in the middle of a breeding, and not dead. Set your price and wait for a buyer. A listing that expires comes off the yard.

Purebreds

A healthy purebred does not belong in this yard. Enter her in the Purebred Sale, or sell her on the commodity market. An injured purebred can still be listed here.

The Purebred Sale is a separate clock, every 14 real days, with bids in steps of 5 TOUGH. Read Purebreds before you hold a marked animal for that sale.

Buying

Open a listing, read the breed, sex, origin, and health, and buy it with TOUGH if the price suits the ranch. Then move the animal into a corral and feed it. A purchase does not feed itself.
